Naples, Florida is one of the country’s best vacation and retirement spots, and for good reason! From golfing and fishing to shopping and dining, there’s plenty in Naples to do for the whole family. And let’s not forget the fabulous beaches!
The city sits on southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast and boasts 280 days of sunshine a year. Naples has a flashy reputation, but it also offers a quaint feel. This makes it the ideal destination for families and couples alike. Below are some of my favorite places to go to in Naples for those who live here or may just be visiting.
Best Places to Shop in Naples
Waterside Shops is my absolute favorite place for shopping. It’s a unique mall, and I love it because everything is outside. There’s a range of upscale stores at Waterside from Free People to Saks Fifth Avenue. You can find whatever your heart desires, from clothing to kitchen and bedroom furnishings. Waterside also features four restaurants, and all are very good.
One of my favorite shops in Waterside is called Little Luxe. It’s a luxury children’s boutique in Naples. They carry runway-inspired styles for kids. This is where I usually get the girls special occasion dresses. I also get the girls their Mini Melissa and Native shoes at Little Luxe.
Hands down my favorite store in Naples is ROUZE. It’s a one-stop contemporary women’s boutique offering carefully curated clothing and accessories from both established and emerging designers. One of my close friends and her mom own it. ROUZE is a great boutique with the cutest clothes. I really love that they have a limited number of outfits in each size because they don’t want everyone running around in the same looks.
Best Restaurants in Naples
We have three favorite restaurants in Naples; two of the restaurants are Italian and the other is sushi.
The first Italian restaurant is called MiraMare. We love this restaurant because you can sit overlooking the Venetian Bay. (Surprisingly, Naples doesn’t have many restaurants on the water!) The food is amazing there and they always have live entertainment. MiraMare features everything from pastas and antipasti to grilled lamp chops, and they’re open for lunch and dinner.
Our other favorite Italian restaurant we love is called Amore Ristorante. The restaurant just recently expanded and has been completely redone. The food is always excellent there! One of the best things about Amore is that they are kid-friendly, which is very important to us. Amore specializes in fresh Italian Cuisine that’s both traditional and innovative. They offer fantastic meat and seafood pastas, veal, homemade desserts, daily specials, an extensive wine list, and friendly service.
Komoon Thai Sushi & Ceviche Restaurant is a sushi restaurant that I love. The sushi is always so fresh, and I know I’m always going to have a good meal there. They feature cuisine from the lands of Thailand, Japan, and Peru. Komoon offers exceptional food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Other Services in Naples
Air Bar is my favorite place to get a blowout. They are a great full-service salon that carries all Oribe products. The entire staff is great. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They even offer champagne, coffee, or other beverages during your service. I’m always happy after my blow-dry there They do more than blowouts too – They also have great colorists, hair cutters, and stylists too! I usually come to AirBar once a week because they do such a wonderful job on my hair.
