The Best Shoe Brands to Buy for Girls

I’m always on the hunt for functional yet fashionable shoes for my girls. Whether we’re looking for a beautiful pair of dress shoes or some casual sandals, we want comfort and eye candy rolled into one. There are a few brands that I really love because they are reliable yet fun.

No matter what age we are, we females want pretty, comfy, and irresistible shoes for our wardrobe. And we definitely need more than one pair! We have to consider special occasions as well as casual wear. Without further ado, here are my favorite shoe brands for my girls Brooklyn and London:

Mini Melissa

Mini Melissa is the little sister brand of Melissa. The company collaborates with top designers like Jason Wu, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean Paul Gaultier to make lovely unique shoes. Mini Melissa offers the cutest designs too, and they also collaborate with Disney on designs. All of the shoes are bubblegum scented, making them irresistibly sweet. My girls wear these shoes for holidays, special occasions, and when we go out to dinner.

Mini Melissa shoes are so playful and colorful, and you can dress them up or down. They even come in baby sizes! We especially love these adorable Mini Melissa Ultragirl Fly shoes featuring butterfly appliques and these sparkly Mini Beach Slide Sandals.

I’m also getting my girls these adorable Ultragirl Unicorn shoes for the summer. If you are looking for glamour, high quality, and stylish shoes for your girls, you’ll find them at Mini Melissa!

Native Shoes

Another one of my favorite shoe brands is Native Shoes. They are the perfect brand for the summer for both girls and boys. They are waterproof, so easy to wear, and easy to put on. Perfect for the pool, beach, and waterpark, Native shoes are stylish and washable too. They come in all kinds of cool colors and patterns, from sparkly and iridescent to marbled and printed. I especially love these sparkly Jefferson Bling shoes and these slip-on sneakers for my girls. These shoes are great for them to wear to school because of the support. They are flexible, lightweight, and comfortable.

Native Shoes are shock absorbent, and my girls wear them in all seasons (except when it’s cold in Florida!) The company strongly believes in being environmentally responsible and animal by-product free. From their website:

Not a hair nor hide on any animal, anywhere, has been used in the creation of our product. We’ve even been certified by PETA as an approved vegan brand. Being Beast Free means respecting our animal and human friends equally. Beyond that, it means we respect the choices you make in your daily life, one of which is choosing which shoes to slip on before heading out the door.

Two of their most popular styles are the Jefferson and the Miller. They also offer adorable girls’ shoes like these cute mondo-lite Little Miss Chatterbox sneakers and the brightly-colored Juniper Little Miss Funshine shoes.

See Kai Run

See Kai Run makes shoes that are specifically designed for kids’ growing feet. These were the first shoes I ever bought my girls. They’re a great first walking shoe, and they offer great support. See Kai Run was started in 2004 by a Seattle mom who was looking for a shoe that was stylish and healthy for her son. Most importantly, she wanted a shoe that promoted healthy foot development. Since she couldn’t find any on the market, she decided to make her own kids shoes that are fun, fashionable and features the finest in materials and craftsmanship.

See Kai Run makes the cutest Mary Jane shoes for babies and girls that come in gold and silver. My girls always got compliments when they were wearing these metallic Mary Janes. This brand is very good for wide feet, as many moms have trouble finding wide shoes for their children.
