Are you hard on your hair? Aren’t we all? Every woman knows that we keep a lot of secrets when it comes to just how much is involved in keeping us looking great. And sometimes all the things that you do to look amazing can also take a toll on you.
About three years ago, I started getting extensions in my hair. I always wanted my hair to be long and luxurious. But, for the most part, had to keep it shorter because it would start thinning out as soon as it would get long.
One easy way to create beautiful full hair in just a few hours is extensions and I loved the effect — but my initial results were not 100% satisfactory. I used to do the bonded extensions and I feel like they just completely thinned out my hair. They caused a lot of damage along with coloring my hair.
Then I discovered a newer, better alternative. I now use tape in extensions which are far less damaging and so much easier to maintain. They also lay really flat on your head so they look extremely natural.
When you add extensions, you are also adding a lot of weight to your hair, so breakage and damage can be a problem. I found out about this product called Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 from Sephora, which helps strengthen and rebuild your hair. It was created to work with every hair type and is supposed to strengthen your hair from within, reducing breakage and improving the look of your hair overall.
Using Olaplex Hair Perfector is really simple. You apply it to damp hair, starting at the root and working it down to the ends until your hair is saturated. Leave it on at least 10 minutes and then rinse your hair. Then follow up with a shampoo and conditioner as usual. You can do this up to three times a week if your hair is really damaged.
I actually love to put this in my hair and sleep in it overnight. I have seen such an incredible difference in my hair since I started using Olaplex and I absolutely recommend it for anyone with damaged or dry hair.
My hair isn’t breaking anymore and just feels so much healthier. It’s a great treatment to do once a week. Sometimes I even do it twice a week. And the whole 3.3 oz bottle costs under 30 dollars and lasts several treatments for medium length hair!
